On the K5 tour you will notice our custom designed billet door handles that utilizes the OEM mechanism. Next you will see the classic houndstooth seat inserts, and the engine bay that seamlessly blends the old and new styling. around back you will see the carbon fiber “tailgate” hatch with integrated back up camera. All of theis riding on a custom built set of 20” hubcap wheels.

Hand formed door skin

This is a thing of beauty, the door skins are removed and replaced as a single piece with the lip wrapped around the door structure with a hammer and dolly. No patched together reproduction sheetmetal on these doors.

Carbon Fiber “tailgate”

We bond our carbon fiber “tailgate” hatch to the aluminum hatch, this is not steel for a few reasons: mainly because of the weight and the amount of filler required to smooth out a sectioned steel tailgate, the other is it’s almost the exact same weight as the skin thats removed allowing the power hatch to work properly without the added stress.

K5 Tahoe Conversion

Unveiled at SEMA 2019

Flat Out Autos unveiled a brand new K5 Tahoe Conversion ar SEMA 2019 and went into production in the spring of 2020 setting up templates and fixtures to replicate the custom sheetmetal for the conversion. Everything is performed in house, including the hand formed door skins. A

ll of the classics look of a first gen K5 Blazer but with the comfort and reliability of a modern SUV. All safety features are kept intact, including front and side airbags, parking sensors, back up camera, lane keeping assist, power lift gate and remote start, even passive keyless entry, and blind spot warnings are incorporated.
